“I got that call that no parent wants to get. We had found nits in your daughter’s hair and she must be picked up.
I was 35 weeks pregnant and a week and a half before Christmas! I had zero experience with lice and went into panic mode! My local hairdresser had told me about Nit Ridders and I contacted Krista immediately! She was so understanding, calmed me down and guided me on what to do throughout the day to treat my daughter’s hair, where to start cleaning and assured me she would come to my house that evening to check us all!
When she arrived, I felt like I had known her for years! She instructed and taught me so much about nits, lice, the treatment process and how to continue to monitor and take preventative measures going forward.
I would highly recommend Krista and her services! I was so grateful to be able to pick up the phone and ask for help!!”
“My husband’s teenage daughter moved in with us on short notice. We discovered on the first night at our house that she had lice. First thing we do is rush to the pharmacy to pick up treatment. We went home and treated her at 11 pm the night before school started, but to be honest, I had no idea what I was looking for or doing.
The next day I contacted Krista MacLeod who was our lifesaver. She drove all the way from Hunter River to Eastern PEI to treat our daughter when her next treatment was due. She spent almost 3 hours going through her hair and picking nits. While she was doing this, she was showing me how to do it and what to look for. She explained the different stages of the nits and how they hatch. We had no idea… Anyway, after she finished picking the nits, she followed up with a treatment and gave us very specific instructions on what to from there. She also provided us with the proper tools we needed and information on how to keep the rest of the house free of contamination.
Without this service we received from Krista I am not sure how we would have handled the situation. I think all parents need to be educated on how to deal with lice whether their children are currently affected or not.”
