Female operators of four unique businesses have received micro-grant awards.
The P.E.I. Business Women’s Association announced the winners of grants, which are designed to enable women entrepreneurs to fund promotional tools, web development, and many other expenses related to launching or expanding their Island businesses.
The recipients are Jackie Herbert of Hop Sip Swill Tasting Tours, a niche tour company focusing on local wineries, breweries and distilleries in P.E.I.; Suzanne Scott of Potter’s Parlour, an ice cream parlour and café in New London; Amber Jadis of Bricks 4 Kidz, which develops advanced programming using robotics to engage Island students; and Krista MacLeod of Nit Ridders Mobile Lice Service, a company offering support and education related to head lice.
P.E.I.B.W.A. is a member-based not-for-profit organization that empowers and inspires Island women to succeed in their business endeavours by providing advisory services, opportunities for development, and connections with other women in business.
